Me: Be a lot cooler if it did.
It’d be nice to have the ability to add business coupons to the local listings. It would create a lot of value.

I'd love to see a "Deals" section added to SmartDirectory.ai (similar to how the News section works now)
Use Case:
Local businesses often want to promote:
-Coupons
-Limited-time offers
-Daily / weekly specials
-Seasonal promos
-First-time customer deals
Right now there isn't a clear place to highlight these. The News section is helpful, but it's more focused on updates and announcements, not promotions (can be used for it but then it is mislabeled).
Proposed Functionality:
Each business can add one or more active deals and deals could have:
-Title
-Description
-Optional photo
-Start / end date (or ongoing)
-Option to mark days the deal is active ("Daily" vs "Tuesdays")
Deals would automatically show on the business listing as well as a directory-wide feed (like a coupon board) which could help drive user engagement and traffic
Why this matters:
Local directories perform best when there's a reason for customers to return regularly. This deals feed provides:
-Recurring visitor activity
-A tangible value proposition for businesses
-Encouragement for businesses to keep their profile updated
-A reason for customers to check in regularly
This feature would be a win for both businesses and users!

Having an area under the description (similar size to the banner image) and another under the more info on the right (a square one)
having it being able to link you can send it to sales page, form or any other external page. 
for us, what we want it for is. 
online ordering for our resturants 
A welcome deal / offer
But it could be anything, booking forms, webiners, menu pdfs, other website.

Hopefully this catches on and they make this update.
Until then, I'm going to tell businesses to use the News section for any deals/offers

I know coupons are planned, but I ran across this WP coupon theme on Themeforest. The way the coupons and deals work is similar to Groupon. Just something to look at.

Jason Christian Yes, I came on to say the exact same. I used this with my WP site and my directory is called "deals" and now I have no "deals" haha so would really like the coupon feature to be back :)

With some method of tracking so the business can see how often they get used. Something as simple as a qr code that they can scan with a scanner or even a phone app.

Adding the ability for ads would allow us to show them on free listings. Excluding them from premium ones would help sell our premium listings.
