I really think it would be far simpler if the images on business profiles (and probably news, blogs, events, jobs) were always square format.

For example, if the cover image was 3 separate square images instead of the current 1752 x 716 format then those 3 images could be shown alongside each other across the page on a desktop. On a mobile they would be shown one after the other as you scroll.

The square format would also work better for the "additional images" too.
